Lemon Sugar Cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp pure lemon extract
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour

Directions

  1. Whisk together baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour
  2. In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  3. Add egg, vanilla, lemon extract and lemon zest.
  4. Add the flour mixture, a cup at a time, and stop once combined
  5. Roll 2 tbsp into a ball and place onto the baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a 350 degrees preheat oven for 13-15 minutes
